Kids have been facing adverse effects of Kronic, a form of synthetic cannabis, said Tom Claunch, a drug addiction counselor. The counselor has asked for a ban on the product, stating it to be an access to drugs.
Claunch stated that in last two weeks, he has treated seven new cases of young pupils who had been the victim of Kronic. He said that the self regulation of the industry has been claptrap alike "putting a pervert in charge of the Sunday school picnic".
"It is an easy step from Kronic or cannabis to P, which is one of our big killer drugs", Claunch said. This drug is killing the younger generation.
Previously, the government banned two types of legal highs as they had some content of phenazepam, which is harmful for humans. These products cannot be purchased and sold without the doctor’s prescription.
Claunch called Kronic as a mood-changing and mild-altering dangerous drug. He said that he had been receiving a lot of phone calls from the parents inquiring about the safety of the drug.
The authorities are testing the drug and if it turns out to be unsafe, then they will work over banning it.
