On Tuesday, experts, after undertaking extensive study, revealed that having a "well-covered" behind, and big hips and thighs can be good for a person's health, and the finding is sure to delight many women all across the globe.
Researchers at the Oxford University have insisted that having fat on the thighs and around the bottom, instead of around the waist, has various health benefits, and the fat deposits can offer increasing protection against problems like heart diseases and diabetes.
"Fat around the hips and thighs is good for you but around the tummy is bad", said co-researcher Dr. Konstantinos Manolopoulos.
Despite the fact that fat deposits around thighs and bottom tend to burn much slower and are much harder to shift, they can end up releasing many beneficial hormones which protect the arteries, in addition to helping control blood sugar levels, as has been stressed by the researchers.
Details of the study have been published in the International Journal of Obesity.
