Amazon. com reveals that the much awaited “Global Wireless” version of e-book reader Kindle, the DX will be on sale from January 19th in many countries. The online service provided the purchase with free shipping.
The six-inch version of the wireless Kindle, now Kindle DX, has been increased, with 9.7-inch e-ink (electronic ink) display with resolution 1200 by 824 points, which facilitates its users to download more than 100 countries' wireless e-books, and the device is priced at 489 U. S. dollars.
In contrast to the standard model, it supports a 3G connection, a more reliable battery, but is still deadlock on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
In addition, the Kindle DX has a built-in PDF-reader and can identify txt, MP3, PRC, MOBI (non DRM), HTML or Word DOC, formats. In addition, it has auto-rotation functions along with 3.3GB of memory to store up to 3,500 books.
In the view of an online retailer, Kindle is Amazon’s, “best-selling gift product” ever. Amazon announced the same day at Christmas that Kindle e-book sales, for the first time, have gone beyond the paper book. But the company didn’t disclosed its actual sales.
