The ongoing outbreak of highly contagious stomach bug in Thames region resulted in vigilance among people with Thames Hospital rising to implement infection control measures.
The stomach bug results in vomiting and diarrhoea. Till now, five patients, two relatives and seven staff members have been reported as infected with the disease in Thames Hospital.
The hospital's acting manager, Rodger Clark revealed that the infected patients and staff have been quarantined and it appeared that the bug had been contained through quick action.
