Food Products Detected With Traces of Drug Viagra, Claims FSANZDrinks like Sexpresso and Rock Hard, constituted of a small amount of the drug Viagra, claims the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ). The drug Viagra, used to stimulate the sex life can have adverse effects on people if consumed; this is why the FSANZ has issued warning to forbid such drinks which contained the drugs.

The drug Viagra was not permitted to be used as a form of medication or a substitute added in food. However, the state and territory food enforcement agencies were inquiring about the product being marketed online on adult shops.

As per FSANZ alert reading, "These analogues, like any drugs can interact with prescription medicines and may be dangerous, particularly for people with certain health conditions. However it is not known what the potential side effects and risks of consuming products containing these analogues may be".

According to FSANZ, the authorities had reminded about the presence of the prescription based drug available in various food products. The authorities expect that the consumers should be aware of certain food products that claimed treating certain health problems. Moreover, the consumers should consult with a doctor, prior to the consumption of such products as they may possess some risk of reacting with the natural products.
