Computer maker Acer has recently come up with its new laptop, called the TravelMate 8481, which has been described as the eventual road-smart companion.
The 1.5kg and just 2.2cm thick TravelMate 8481 features a 14-inch ComfyView LCD LED blacklit display with aspect ratio of 16:9.
The top performance notebook comes equipped with second-generation Intel Core processing, Intel Wireless Display technology and Intel HD Graphics 3000. The company claims the new machine consumes 60 per cent less time the first-generation machines to load apps.
NVIDIA’s Optimus technology and 8GB of DDR3 memory, on top of up to 320GB of storage capacity also adds to the Acer’s new computer’s worth.
Other highlights of the new computer include a Magnesium-Aluminum case, InviLink Nplify 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Acer InstantView, an Autolock lid and Disk Anti-Shock Protection.
Describing the new computer, Acer said, "Add to the mix a slim and light design and you have the TravelMate 8481, a true road warrior. There is no need to make compromises.”
The Acer TravelMate 8481 will be available sometime in August with a starting price tag of £699 (ex-VAT).
