Samsung’s new Galaxy S II will soon be available via Sprint, newly discovered images of the smartphone with Sprint’s logo on the device’s back claim. Tech blog ThisIsMyNext has discovered a Sprint version of the smartphone, which shows that the much-awaited handset will come to Sprint as the Samsung Galaxy S II Within.
The image discovered by the tech blog shows that the Samsung Galaxy S II Within will run on Google’s Android 2.3.4 operating system, which will allow it to perform Google Talk video chats through Sprint’s 4G network.
The Samsung Galaxy S II Within will provide its users with integrated Google Wallet and Google Voice services. Ina addition, the device will offer Samsung’s new TouchWIZ experience that promises to meet the special needs of business and multimedia users.
The potential device will feature an 8-megapixel camera plus we can expect a Super AMOLED Plus touch screen. Meanwhile, Samsung is preparing to fight the much-rumored affordable version of the iPhone 5 to the death by launching its Galaxy R smartphone, a cheaper version of the Samsung Galaxy S2.
The Galaxy R has NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC, a microSD card reader, 8GB onboard storage, Wi-Fi and a 4.2-inch screen, bigger than that of the Galaxy S. The Galaxy R is expected to be released towards the end of July, with a possible price tag of around £350.
