Publisher Ubisoft’s chairman & chief executive Yves Guillemot is buoyant about Nintendo's next-generation games console, the Wii U, which is slated for early next year.
In a recent interview with Gamasutra, Guillemot said that the Nintendo Wii U would come equipped with some very innovative features that to change the video game industry.
Speaking on the topic, he said, “We feel this console is coming with very innovative features that will change the video game industry and we want to be a part of that.”
He also said the announcement of Wii U has left rival console makers such as Sony and Microsoft with less breathing space. According to the Ubisoft chief, Sony and Microsoft will now introduce their respective consoles sooner than later.
Rumours of PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 are common. Swirling speculations suggest that Microsoft has plans to unveil ints next-generation console at E3 event next year.
Earlier, games developer 2K’s Chief Christopher Hartman, said that Sony and Microsoft had been experimenting with Move and Kinect, respectively, to decide the foundations of their next-generation consoles.
