July 28 is marked as the World Hepatitis Day, supported by the World Health Organization. As per a source, every 12th person in the world suffers from Hepatitis B or C and many did not know about their liver disorders, moreover it killed 1 million people in a year.
The statistics demand emphasis on the disease on global grounds and those health authorities should take strict measures to avoid the disease. Liver is a very important organ of the human body and carries out some of the major functions like detoxification, protein synthesis, production of biochemical for digestion and metabolism. If the liver gets infected, it directly affects the metabolism in the body.
The HBV and HCV (hepatitis-B and hepatitis-C virus) are the two types of the disease and symptoms of the disease are irritation in the liver. As per a survey, 70% come to know about the disorder in the liver after the disease spreads completely. The initial symptoms of the disease are fever, fatigue, and loss of appetite, nausea, abdominal pain, dark urine and jaundice.
The World Health Organisation is formulating guidelines, policies and tools for examination, avoidance and control of this disease. Prevention and concentrating on the source and mode of spread of the virus is vital to control this disease.
