Southern Cross Care Homes in Scotland Cherish Their New OperatorScottish millionaire, Robert Kilgour, is reported to be in plans to conglomerate with former 11 Southern Cross homes in Scotland with 500 beds and 800 staff. Besides, Kilgour claims to come up with further announcements related to additional Scottish homes in the near future.

In addition, it is reported that Mr. Kilgour is seeking to give his green signal for the operation of the 11 homes by October. It is claimed that the homes would undergo a £1m revamping, and is open to taking on more of Southern Cross's former portfolio.

A team of highly adept and trusted people, hailing from the care home sector itself, has been formed for the same.

"In recent weeks, it has become apparent that many landlords do not have the experience and track-record to provide the high quality of care that residents and their families expect and deserve”, Kilgour was quoted as saying.

Moreover, he said that he is witnessing a fast spread of the industry as more and more enquiries from other landlords are coming, seeking assistance so as to ensure proper growth, resurrecting from the issues experienced by Southern Cross.
