Mazda UK launches two Black special editionsMazda's UK arm has announced the launch of two new special edition cars, viz. the MX-5 Sport Black and the Mazda 2 Black, both of which are inspired by the MX-5 race car.

The MX-5 Sport Black, which is available in a choice of three colours, viz. green, white and red, features bespoke dark 17-inch alloy wheels and a black retractable hard-top roof.

Inside the car, there are black leather trim with contrasting sand-coloured stitching, piano black trim details, bespoke floor mats and a numbered plaque.

This special edition comes equipped with a Bose sound system, climate control system, cruise control and Bluetooth.

Based on the Sport Tech trim level of the 2-litre 158bhp MX-5, the car is available with a price tag of 22,995 pounds, around 360 pounds more than the Sport Tech model.

Another special edition, the Mazda2 Sport Black, comes in the same green or white colour as the MX-5 plus True Red. The new model comes equipped with modified plaque and floor mats, climate control air-conditioning, electric rear windows, and a Parrot Bluetooth hands-free system.

It is based on the 5-door 1.3-litre 83bhp Mazda2 in Tamura trim, and features a black vinyl roof, privacy glass, a rear bumper sports trim, matt black 16-inch alloy wheels, and front fog lights.

The Mazda2 Sport Black costs starting 12,395 pounds for the True Red model and 12,815 pounds for the metallic variants.
