A quick look at Guardian's annual media personality listThe Guardian's annual listing of the 100 most influential people in UK media has been topped by Facebook founder & chief executive Mark Zuckerberg, who outshined Media mogul Rupert Murdoch and tech giant Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs to grab the top spot.

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey was ranked second in the list for his vital role behind the success of Twitter and the launch of the mobile payment service Square.

The third spot was grabbed by Internet search giant Google's chief Larry Page, Apple chief Steve Jobs and media mogul Rupert Murdoch slipped from their first and fourth positions to fifth and sixth positions, respectively.

Microsoft’s chief Steve Ballmer and English actor & author Stephen Fry were bumped from the Guardian's annual Media 100 list.

Self described digital champion Martha Lane Fox, who is making efforts to raise awareness regarding digital technology and the internet, also failed to get a spot in the list.

Mr. Zuckerberg’s top position in the list speaks for the inexorable success of Facebook, the world’s most popular social networking site which has more than 750 million users worldwide.
