Following the footsteps of tech giants Dell, Cisco, Citrix and Intel, computer giant Hewlett Packard (HP) joined OpenStack open source cloud computing platform.
The collaboration will allow HP to bring together its vast technology portfolio and streamline it with OpenStack to deliver cloud computing services to enterprises.
HP, which already has plenty of its own cloud solutions for IT departments, believes that the new collaboration will help it in delivering effective as well as secure cloud computing solutions to its business clients.
According to Emil Sayegh, vice president of Cloud Services at HP, said that open & interoperable cloud infrastructure & services play a crucial role in delivering the next-generation cloud-based services to developers, consumers and businesses.
Speaking on the topic, the Silicon Valley firm said, “It is our belief that close collaboration with developer communities combined with HP’s global portfolio are cornerstones to delivering the right, seamless and secure experiences for our customers.”
Tech giant Dell recently used OpenStack to create a package of hardware, software and services that cane be used by organizations to deploy their own Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) operations.
