Since the introduction of the first generation BMW 1 Series around seven years back, it has been playing an important role for the acclaimed German automaker.
After Germany, the UK has been the second biggest market for the BMW 1 Series, accounting for one-third of all BMW models sold in the country each year.
The automaker has newly confirmed pricing for its new 1-Series models for the UK market. The 116 ES model will cost £19,375, while the price tags for 120d with Sport or Urban trim will go up to £24,720.
The new BMW 1-Series will come equipped with 30mm longer wheelbase that extends to 2690mm. The luggage capacity has been enlarged by 30 liters, while 21mm has been added to rear leg room.
Sport will come equipped with 17-inch alloys, a black grille, air intake surrounds, sports seats, enhanced rear bumper trim and a dark chrome exhaust pipe; while Urban trim adds a different style of 17-inch wheels, chrome grille, cloth & leather seats and an interior trim in black or white.
Standard equipment for all BMW 1 Series includes 16-inch alloy wheels, four airbags, air-con, a leather steering-wheel, ISOFIX fittings, radio & CD player, a 6.5-inch screen, USB connection, iDrive controller, Bluetooth, multi- function steering wheel and speed limiting function.
