UK mobile phone operator Orange has launched a new service called “Film to Go” to allow customers to enjoy movies for free.
The new service, which has been launched in partnership with Apple’s iTunes, will allow users to download a movie a week for free, to watch it on a PC, laptop or Apple iOS-based devices such as iPhone or iPad.
Once downloaded, the movie will be available for a month to watch, or once the user presses play it would need to be watched within 48 hours. However, users will be able to download a movie only on Thursday.
The “Film to Go” service has been announced in a bid to attract more and more movie-lovers to network provider. However, Orange claimed that they launched the new service to thank their customers for being with them.
Speaking on the topic, Orange’s Spencer McHugh said, "Giving our valued customers a film download every week to enjoy at home or out and about on a mobile device is a great way to thank them for being part of Orange.”
The list of launch titles includes The Ghost, The Wrestler and Che: Part One.
