Japanese automaker Nissan finally announced pricing for its new Micra DIG-S (Direct Injection Gasoline - Supercharged), which will go on sale in September.
The Micra DIG-S range will start at £11,150, merely £1000 more than the standard 1.2 DIG model.
Nissan’s new vehicle draws power from a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine which has an impressive fuel consumption of 68.9mpg. Equipped with a fuel-efficient engine, the upcoming car puts out only 95g of CO2 per km.
The car boasts of stop/start technology, and a quick alternator that charges the battery whenever the engine is in low demand. Power out put has significantly been improved to 98bhp.
The engine can be opted as a five-speed manual or with an optional advanced CVT automatic gearbox for an additional £1,000.
The price is still significantly low as compared with price tags of diesel-powered rivals. A fully-equipped Tekna, with features like Satellite Navigation, climate control, cruise control, metallic paint, and rear parking sensors, costs more than £14,000.
