Google+ offers games, prompting Facebook to revamp its games platform Google Inc. on Thursday equipped its new social-networking platform, Google Plus, with much-anticipated online games, a move that will help the Internet search giant in competing with its arc-rival Facebook more efficiently.

Google has added a total of sixteen games from ten video gaming companies, including Angry Birds, Dragons of Atlantis, Diamond Dash, Bejeweled Blitz and Zynga Poker.

Announcing the availability of game on Google Plus, Google executive Vic Gundotra said, "With the Google+ project, we want to bring the nuance and richness of real-life sharing to the web. The experiences we have together are just as important to our relationships. We want to make playing games online just as fun, and just as meaningful, as playing in real life."

Google also said it would increase the number of online games over time.

Following the announcement of games on Google Plus, Facebook announced some fresh features for its social games to make it easier for players to find and play games.
