Technology giant, Apple has approved the new Cinemax Max Go app, which might offer some content that violates Apple’s policy of not allowing pornographic material in the app store.
The Cinemax Max Go app provides access on-demand movies and programming on mobile devices to the cable channel's subscribers. A disclosure on the app states that users must be at least 17 years old to download the app because, among other things, it includes "frequent/intense sexual content or nudity."
The app also includes parental controls that will allow parents to prevent children from viewing adult rated content. However, even with the warning and controls, the app does offer softcore programming, which clearly violated Apple’s policy that states that the apps containing pornographic material will not be allowed.
