The US Magistrate Judge in New York has ruled that the lawyers of Paul Ceglia, who is fighting a legal battle over the ownership of Facebook, have improperly designated 120 of the documents as confidential.
The court has given attorneys until Wednesday to release the information to Facebook. The U. S. Magistrate Judge Leslie Foschio in Buffalo, New York also allowed Facebook to conduct forensic tests on Ceglia's computers.
Facebook’s attorneys filed court papers alleging finding evidence of fraud. The judge has removed confidential tag from 85 of the documents. These documents include versions of the contract that Ceglia claims was signed with Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg in 2003.
Zuckerberg has said that he signed the contract with Ceglia, but to do computer coding on the StreetFax project. He claims that the contract was not associated with Facebook in any manner. Ceglia claims he and Zuckerberg signed an agreement that gave him part ownership of Facebook.
