Ruthless Hotel Statement Disappoints Grief-Stricken Father

Ruthless Hotel Statement Disappoints Grief-Stricken FatherA grief-stricken father, Richard Carter, whose daughter died in Thailand, in February, has expressed confidence that authorities will take immediate actions on the recommendations of a report into his daughter’s death. Simultaneously, Mr. Carter has expressed disappointment over the hotel’s statement marking the death as coincidence.

"They certainly haven't done anything that's in any way likely to make anyone accountable, i. e. not very thorough investigation around the hotel or into the pesticide company, but they've certainly taken it very seriously in the knowledge that their tourism would drop off if they don't”, added Richard Carter.

The case history has revealed that his 23 years old daughter, Sarah Carter, died after exposure to pesticides in her Chiang Mai hotel room. However, the authorities are still struggling to extract the exact reasons of her death. The incident has also caused severe illness to her friends, Emma Langlands, 23, and Amanda Eliason, 24, who had accompanied her in the same room. However, they have survived.

In addition, the report has also confirmed four other deaths in the same hotel between January 11 and February 19 including a 47-year-old Thai woman staying in the room next to the New Zealander, Sarah Carter, an elderly English couple, accommodated on different floor along with an American woman. All the deaths are believed to have an association with pesticide exposure.
