Internet is awash with the newly leaked pictures of the Motorola Droid HD smartphone- the successor of Droid in the US and Motorola Milestone in the UK.
According to the leaked pictures, the Motorola Droid HD has a 4.5-inch touchscreen with qHD resolution that will make it a great handset for web browsing and multi-media playback. According to Engadget, the screen offers a resolution of 540x960 or possibly 720x1280 pixels.
The smartphone runs on Google's Android 2.3, and is thought to be powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor. In addition, the device has 1GB of RAM, a 3.8V lithium ion battery, a microSD card slot and an
8-megapixel rear-facing camera with flash.
Pictures also show the smartphone with a front-facing camera, but its exact details are missing.
On the side, there are microUSB and microHDMI ports.
The Motorola Droid HD looks quite thin. It seems as if the manufacturer aims to challenge others smartphones like that of Sony Ericsson's Arc and Samsung's Galaxy S II.
