Huawei’s own-branded smartphones are soon coming to the UK, thanks to Chinese white label phone producer’s newly announced deal with the independent retail giant Phones 4U.
Phones 4U confirmed that it would start stocking and marketing Huawei’s own-branded upcoming handsets. Earlier, Huawei announced that it would produce smartphones under its own banner.
It may be noted here that Huawei previously used to build handsets for other companies, such as Telefonica, Vodafone and T-Mobile, to re-brand.
Huawei’s first own-branded smartphone Blaze is expected to become available in the UK by before the end of September; while its own-branded high-end phone Vision is believed to hit store shelves before the end of this year.
The Android 2.3 Gingerbread-based Blaze will reportedly feature a 3.2-inch touch-screen, a 3.2MP camera, 256MB of RAM, 512MB of onboard storage and 1GHz Qualcomm Snapgdragon MSM 8255 processor.
