Travelodge to offer free Wi-Fi in its Bar Cafes

TravelodgeHotel chain Travelodge has confirmed that it would equip its Bar Cafes with free Wi-Fi to provide travellers with access to the Internet while on the move.

The budget hotel chain said that it had already started rolling out the service and aimed to implement it in all Travelodge Bar Cafes hotels by the 12th of September this year.

Travelodge Chief Executive Guy Parsons said they had found that travellers demand Internet access so that they could work and cyber-socialise around the clock.

He also said that travellers cringe at paying the exorbitant rates for the Internet access being charged by some hotels.

Speaking on the topic, Mr. Parsons added, “We are always looking at ways to help our 13 million customers get even more value for their money whilst staying in one our 478 Travelodge hotels.”

Travelodge’s rival chain Premier Inn also charges a fee for the privilege.

Travelodge has plans to open further 20 hotels this year and build 43 new ones to boost its claim to be the fastest-rowing hotel chain in the UK.
