The old adage that ‘gentlemen prefer blondes’ apparently holds no weight these days --- with a recent survey by social network site Badoo having revealed that gentlemen, in fact, have an overwhelming preference for brunettes!

On the basis of the responses of 2,000 British men – to questions regarding the physical features they find most attractive in the opposite sex -, Badoo found that nearly 60 percent of the men admitted that they preferred brown- haired beauties more than the blond ones.

More specifically, while blonde women were preferred by 29.5 percent of the survey respondents, raven-haired women were considered most attractive by nearly one-third (33.1 percent) of them. In addition, almost 28.6 percent men showed a preference for black-haired women, and a mere 8.8 percent said that they were attracted to red-haired women.

Among the other findings of the Badoo survey was the fact that blue-eyed women still ruled the roost in terms of preference by men. Almost 40.2 percent of the men surveyed said that they prefer blue eyes; while 29.2 percent said they preferred brown; 13.1 percent showed preference for hazel; and 17.5 for green.

Moreover, the findings of the survey also sowed that, in terms of the preferred physique, 38.8 percent of the respondents said that they looked for an 'average' dress size of 12 to 14 in their perfect woman; while barely 10 percent of them said that they looked for a size 6 to 8!
