Nintendo's new, family-oriented Wii bundle could become available for under £80 in the UK, according to a report published by MCV.
The new Wii console, dubbed the Family Edition Wii, will feature smaller and sleeker hardware, with no support or inputs for older GameCube games.
Designed to sit horizontally only, the Family Edition Wii will sport the same trade price, but UK retailers are reportedly looking to hack the price tag to as little at £79.99 to provide a boost to sales over the Christmas/holiday season.
The slightly revised Wii will come bundled with popular Wii Sports and Wii Party as well as a Wii Remote Plus controller and Nunchuck.
Speaking about the new console, Nintendo spokesperson told MCV, "We're always looking at ways to bring fun and entertaining experiences to even more families across Europe and this is just one example."
The new, family-oriented Wii bundle is expected to hit store shelves towards the end of this year.
