To prevent the traffic jams that get accumulated at the Gayton Road entrance in week days and also to ease the parking blockage at Lynn Queen Elizabeth Hospital, their team has come up with a new plan in which they have proposed to make a multi-functionary car parking. They have also thought of park-and-ride scheme for the guests and staff members.
To lessen the congestion at the Gayton road, they are thinking of to get construct the direct entrance and exit from the A149 Queen Elizabeth Way.
Lynn's Chief Executive, Nerissa Vaughan said before any decision could be taken, they would take the opinion of the local residents as they were the most affected. Due to the jam at hospital site, cars were parked outside their homes and they faced lot of trouble. The number of complaints was also on rise due to this.
Ms. Vaughan said it is not that they were not aware of the problem but there was a limit to which they could solve the problem. But now permission for extra 81 car parking has been given to the hospital and many more temporary parking places would be designed.
For now, there are considering to have partnership with West Norfolk Council. She also made clear that they would follow the tender process.
