"Cerberus Network" Introduced for Mass Effect 2 by Bioware

BiowareBioware has unveiled the "Cerberus Network" for its title Mass Effect2, which is basically an in-game platform that will provide players with ongoing downloadable content, which will further extend the game’s play longevity. The new feature can only be activated through an exclusive unlock code, and the code can be found packed in the new copy of the game.

Gamers who choose to pick up a used copy will have to pay a one-time fee to be a part of the service, but the fee has not been disclosed by EA yet.

As has been shared by Dr. Ray Muzyka, co-founder of BioWare and group general manager of the RPG/MMO Group of EA, “The Cerberus Network augments and extends the rich universe of Mass Effect 2. We’re thrilled to be able to reward loyal BioWare and Mass Effect fans with ongoing, high quality content and provide a direct channel for our players to dive deeper into the intriguing lore of Mass Effect”.

The publisher of the title has asserted that the new addition is bound to make the game more exciting and interesting.

The company has also said that after the release of the first instalment of the new offering, the subsequent ones will be accompanied with lots of other content including "new missions, a hovering tank named the Hammerhead, the Cerberus Assault Armour and the M-22 Eviscerator Shotgun".
