An increasing number of young women are apparently ready to go under the knife --- with a More! Magazine survey revealing that nearly 72 percent of women, aged between 18 and 30 years, have expressed the desire to have plastic surgery and nearly one-half of them have actively planned it in the near future!
The results of the survey – which involved over 1,000 ‘young women’ readers of the magazine – showed that 61 percent young women think that a cosmetic procedure is their right, especially if they are unconfident about their physical appearance.
With 57 percent of the women surveyed admitting that they wanted to have cosmetic surgery as they were unhappy with the way they look, more than 35 percent of them said that they wish to go in for a plastic surgery to gain more confidence. Incidentally, over 35 percent of the women also felt that cosmetic surgery should be more readily available for free on the NHS.
Noting that 21 percent of the women questioned also said that they were willing to spend up to £6,000 on cosmetic operations, with 36 percent willing to take out a loan to bear the costs -, Chantelle Horton, editor of More! magazine said: “The results show a worrying trend towards young women becoming obsessed with creating the "perfect" body image”!
