Sprint has instructed its employees to remain mum on the upcoming iPhone 5, a leaked internal memo revealed.
Rumors have long been swirling that Sprint could get the fifth-generation iPhone, and the leaked memo has instructed its employees not to speculate about Sprint getting the much-awaited phone. This led many to believe that Sprint has some to conceal.
Currently, Apple’s iPhone is available only on the airwaves of AT&T and Verizon.
Meanwhile, network providers AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon have confirmed that Hurricane Irene, which recently hit the U. S. east coast, disrupted their services.
On Saturday, the FCC announced that as many as 12,000 customers were left without wireline service, while winds left a total of 130 cell sites without power in North Carolina.
Network providers said they were employing backup power generators at some cell sites to restore services.
Hurricane Irene followed a 5.8 magnitude earthquake that hit near Richmond, Va. Network providers saw call volume spike, but they didn’t suffer any major network-equipment damage. However, customers for some time were not able to make calls following the natural calamities.
