Another successful Daffodil day was wrapped-up last weekend. This was an event in which a lot of people took part with great enthusiasm, and portrayed their support for the cause.
The weather was in good spirits, so were the people. There were thousands of Daffodils sold and people supported the proper research and prevention of cancer. It was revealed by Mr. Kevin Tims, manager of the street collections that there were a number of donations that people made for this noble cause and all the money shall be put to research for the disease.
"We had a good day, the weather was great and support from our wonderful community was once again amazing", he said.
Though there was a lot of speculation during preparatory days for the event about how it would go, all went well in the end. There were destroyed Daffodils that had the event in a standstill, but everything was managed well by the authorities.
The organizers were of the view that final collections would be revealed by the end of this week, as there still needs to be some calculating and collection done. This is a great way to show support for cancer sufferers along with ensuring they get proper treatment.
