With a sincere intention to gain back customers' trust, brick-and-mortar retailer GameStop is offering a free $50 gift card plus a Buy 2 get 1 free pre-owned purchase.
The effort to gain back customers' trust has been made following its last week's move in which it removed a competitor's coupon from standard edition PC versions of Square Enix's recently released Deus Ex Human Revolution.
GameStop chief executive Paul Raines also apologized for the company's last week's move, which troubled its customers.
Apologizing for concerned act, Raines wrote in an email, "We regret the events surrounding this title release and that our customers were put in the middle of this issue between GameStop and Square Enix. we are truly sorry."
Last week, GameStop has declared that it pulled the competitor's coupons from the PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution as Square Enix had packed them without seeking their prior permission.
