Consuming Probiotic Bacteria Can Shun AnxietyWant to remain tension free and happy, consume probiotic bacteria. This is the new finding of a study published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, a US publication.

Lead researcher Cyan with his co-workers at Cork and McMaster University, Canada, conducted a mice test to prove that consumption of this human-friendly bacterium affects the brain in a positive manner, thereby keeping a person to be happy and energetic.

Their main assumption was regarding the vagus nerve, could it transfer good feeling to brain after probiotic bacteria is consumed, as it is directly related to stomach and brain. And, if it could transfer the feeling of tiredness or any other symptom to brain when a person have consumed something wrong, then it should be also be able to transfer the happy feeling.

For this, lab test was conducted in which mice was injected with probiotic bacteria, and it was found the brain networking of the mice has altered and its activities were symbol of reduced stress, depression free behavior.

Prof. Cyan explained that consumption of bacteria reduced the stress hormone in known as corticosterone which proves that probiotic consumption is an effective measure.
