Handset maker Motorola’s recently unveiled rough tough smartphone Defy+ will land in the UK in September.
The Defy+, successor to the original Defy smartphone, is a scratch-resistant, water-resistant and dust-proof handset that has better hardware and software specs than its predecessor.
The new smartphone runs on Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, and features a 3.7-inch 864x480 touchscreen, a decent 5-megapixel camera and a 1 GHz processor, which according to the company is 25 per cent faster than the processor in the previous Defy.
In addition, it offers a faster web browser, 512MB of RAM, 2GB of internal storage, a 2GB microSD card and a bigger 1,700mAh battery that promises 7.1 hours of talk time or 16 days of standby time.
Motorola has equipped the Defy+ with its custom user interface, called Motoblur.
Clove. co. uk is offering the Defy+ for £246. Expansys has started accepting pre-orders for the Defy+, but has yet to announce a price tag for the handset.
