Cancer Society celebrated its 25th anniversary as well as its 25 year long bond with fundraising event, Daffodil Day.

There was a fresh start at Taihape district and Daffodil Day was celebrated there with lots of donations coming for cancer patients.

To tell about the event, then it’s an annual function being organized by the Cancer Society which is dedicated towards cancer people and help them in each and every possible manner. Its major motive is to raise awareness by organizing educational events which tells about healthy lifestyle.

Taihape is a quite place but residents came forth in huge number to support the event. Things donated by the members were bought by the people and they took part in every activity designed by the society such as baking, selling beautiful yellow daffodils, knitting and also collecting donations from people.

Unlike other organizations, the donations collected from the specific place would be used for that place only. Till now, 4500 dollars has been collected and more is expected.

Cancer Society comes second after the government in relation to raise funds for cancer patients and is the only organization which acts as an information bureau for all types of cancer.
