The World Health Organization has blamed obesity for increasing breast size of New Zealand women.
A spokeswoman of Bendon, Rachael Parkin stated that in last 10 years it has been notified that the burst sizes of NZ women have been increasing, and the change is quite common among young women.
According to 2003 data, obesity rate has been quite high in the region, and nearly 22% of the women were obese. The breast becomes bigger due to fat deposition, especially under obesity.
However, female hormone that has been responsible for controlling the developments in female has been another reason for increase in breast sizes. Girls have been experiencing early puberty which could be another reason for this increase. Also, preservative foods, chemicals have been responsible for the increase in the size.
Bendon's Newmarket store has notified that the most wanted size was between 10C and 12D/DD, especially in the last two years and the average size has gone up to 14C and 14D from 12B in the year 2001.
"We are also seeing young girls are coming into our stores with larger busts much more often now", Bendon notified.
