Want to reduce fat and especially belly fat? Start aerobics. This interesting claim has been put forth by a novel study published in American Journal of Physiology.
This novel study has given aerobics more marks than weight training when it comes to weight reduction. Explaining the reason, Dr. Cris Slentz, who is Duke University’s Exercise Physiologist, said that weight training helps to increase the stamina of the body and also makes bone stronger but aerobics reduces body fat by burning more calories. Therefore, it is better to do aerobics than weight training.
To reach up to this conclusion, 196 people were enrolled which belonged to different age group from 18 to 70. All of them were asked to do aerobics or weight training or both, and those who performed aerobics, were asked to do jogging for 12 miles and that too at increased heart rate and on other side, weight lifters were asked to repeat a set for 12 times, thrice a week.
After a period of eight months, it was discovered that sugar level and liver system of aerobics performers was improved and they had also reduced weight.
