In what may well turn out to be a prospective threat to the Philippines, a bird expert has expressed the possibilities that migratory birds will escort the new-fangled malformed sprain of H5N1 bird flu from other countries.
Rey Aguinaldo, Project Manager at the Las Piñas Parañaque Critical Habitat and Ecotourism Area, has expressed his concerns over the matter, claiming that these migratory birds can soon post a threat for the country.
It has been reported that nearly 60 species of birds are known for migrating from China and Siberia, every year. Most of them have their destination at the LPPCHEA.
But, recent reports have claimed that approximately 500 species of bird, in fact, fly across Philippines annually.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that concerned government authorities are narrowly gauging the situation, along with the entry of wild birds and poultry from bordering nations to thwart the potential way-in of H5N1 bird flu's mutant sprain scattering in Vietnam and China.
Recently, experts have claimed that the said mutant of bird flu is likely to be even more perilous that its ancestor.
Avian Influenza or bird flu is an extremely infectious bug of birds arraying from placid to harsh type of disorders. It can easily be transferred to human beings by contamination or inhalation with grimy liberation or feces of ailing chicken.
