Obesity Concerns the Entire GlobeRising obesity rates across the globe have been a major concern and some countries will have to work really hard due to the large number of obese population.

It has been notified that nearly 1.5 billion adults have a higher body mass index and another 0.5 billion adults are obese worldwide.

The data from The Lancet has revealed that 1 out of 3 Americans were obese, and in the UK the count is 1 in 4, in Tonga it is 7 in 10. Also, 1 in 10 adult women of Netherlands are obese and the rate is 1 in 20 in the adult women from China and Japan. The studies have notified that the obesity rate varies across the globe.

The wave of obesity first initiated in the developed countries around 1980s and now it has grounded in developing as well as under developed countries. In the developed countries all the people are equally affected and the poor people are at a higher risk and in the developing and under-developed countries middle-aged people are most affected and gradually it has spread among all the age groups of all the classes.

The researchers have notified that not a single country could be portrayed as a model for healthiness, as each and every nation is affected. The changing lifestyles and food habits, along with less exercising patterns all have contributed to obesity, which further leads to many chronic diseases.
