Two diary companies, Fonterra and First Milk, have declared about their commencement of deal to generate the production of whey proteins.
The two companies were collaborating to expand their business and improve protein production. This deal will help Fonterra to expand the business being set up in Europe, whereas the deal will increase the whey production in dairy units of First Milk, which will further enhance the production of cheese.
According to Koert Liekelema, Managing Director for Fonterra Europe, the deal aims to provide the consumers in Europe with an access to healthy dairy products. As per CEO Kate Allum, “While this is our first step into added value whey markets, it builds on the work we have done recently with a range of partners across the supply chain to deliver pioneering solutions”.
Europe serves a platform for both the diary companies to earn profits. Therefore, it was necessary for the companies to concentrate on the demand of the region and provide with qualitative dairy products.
The whey protein by First Milk will be used in PowerProtein and ElevateProtein nutritional components of Fonterra. Both the companies expect a good business in the region with the support of each other.
