Motorola is reportedly preparing to make foray into the field of social gadgets with the release of a Facebook-oriented phone, called the Motorola EX225.
The Motorola EX225 features a 2.4-inch TFT screen, a QWERTY keyboard, and a little blue dedicated Facebook button in the corner.
It means the device will be socially connected, with deeply integrated Facebook features. Its dedicated Facebook button will allow users get status updates, instant link posting and all that with just a click of the button.
Other possible features will be automatic synchronization of friend’s profiles, social notifications and integration of Facebook messages with text messages.
The new Motorola device will come equipped with a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera, and will come in single and dual SIM versions.
With the launch of the EX225, Motorola will become the second handset maker to offer a Facebook-centric handset.
At Mobile World Congress earlier this year, Taiwanese handset maker HTC introduced two Facebook-oriented handsets, viz. the HTC ChaCha and the HTC Salsa.
