Power Supply Returns to Californians

Power Supply Returns to CaliforniansOn Friday, the Southern Californians were supplied with power after a long hot day of power cut. Although the power is back, the Californians have been warned to go easy with the usage of power when it comes to boiling water and AC.

It has been reported that, on Thursday, because of uncertain reason, about 1.4 million people had to face power cut during the hottest days of summer. The reason behind the power cut is still being gauged. It is not just the home electric supply which was cut off and major nuclear power plant in San Onofre was also shut down because of the interrupted power supply.

On Friday at 3:00 a. m. the power supply was back again relieving people from the scorching heat. However, soon after 12 years of power supply, interruption in the supply was felt. It has been informed that Federal Energy Regulatory Commission officials will be holding an investigation together with North American Electric Reliability Corporation to understand the main reason behind the power failure.

Because of the black out, many drivers found it difficult to drive at night which resulted in traffic jam. Moreover, because of the sudden power cut dozens of people were caught in the elevators and were rescued by firefighters.
