A major problem in the front seat belts has pushed the Honda Motor Co Ltd. authorities to announce a recall for not less than 347,000 Pilot sport utility vehicles, across the globe.
While briefing about the move, renowned Japanese automobile maker has notified the recall for products manufactured in Lincoln, Alabama and released between 2009 and 2011, as the front seat belts were observed to have a major fault and expected to disconnect from the anchor.
However, the vehicle maker has claimed that it has not observed any injury or death because of this fault, till now. Further, the manufacturer has also outlined policies to dispatch written notifications to the owners of faulty products and anticipated that the move will be starting from early October.
In addition, the company has marked the United States for not less than 311,000 of the Pilot SUVs whereas 10,000 in Canada and approximately 8,000 in Mexico. Besides these countries, other parts of the world are also expected to have some of faulty products.
Prior to this, the company has hailed for recalling roughly 960,000 Fit subcompacts in order to mend errors such as malfunctioning power window switches.
