Following numerous rumors, Electronic Arts (EA) officially confirmed that a new Syndicate game is in development and will be released early next year.
The new Syndicate game, which will come as a sci-fi first person shooter, is in development at the Starbreeze Studios, and the publisher is claiming that game would deliver a matchless and atrocious shooter experience.
Speaking about the game, EA Partners’ Executive Producer Jeff Gamon said, "Our goal with Syndicate is to provide a challenging action shooter for today's gamers as well as fans of the original. I'm sure they will enjoy and recognize the legacy that made it such a classic.”
Gamon added that fans of the franchise would recognize several weapons and environments in the upcoming game, but in a completely new way. The players would also be able to enjoy a separate and deep 4-player co-op mode that would feature missions from the original game.
Mikael Nermark, chief executive of Starbreeze Studios, said that it was an amazing opportunity for them to utilize their expertise in the first person shooter and action genres to reignite the spying gameplay of Syndicate.
The new Syndicate game would be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC sometime in early 2012.
