Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Ray smartphone has finally become available in the UK through mobile phone operator O2.
Interested people can purchase the Xperia Ray as a standalone handset or on a pay monthly two-year contract.
Based on Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray features a 3.3-inch touchscreen, an 8.1-megpixel rear-facing camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities, and a front-facing camera for making video calls.
The list of other hardware specs of the Xperia Ray includes a 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM along with up to 32GB of internal storage through a microSD card.
O2 is offering the Xperia Ray for free on a £21.50 per month, two-year contract- the deal that offers 200 minutes per month and unlimited texts.
The Xperia Ray will also be available on the airwaves of UK carriers Orange and 3 in the near future.
Separately, Sony Ericsson has made a come back in the Nigerian mobile market by rolling out sophisticated mobile phones series of Xperia.
