US-based cellular service provider AT&T has introduced a new bunch of Windows Phone handsets based on Microsoft's Windows Phone 7.5, codenamed Mango, software.
AT&T's new Windows Phone 7.5-based lineup includes the Samsung Focus S and Focus Flash smartphones.
The Windows Phone 7.5 Mango-based Samsung Focus S comes with 4G capable speeds, and features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED plus screen, a 1.4 GHz processor, an 8-megapixel image sensor bearing camera with 720p HD video recording capability, and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera for making video calls.
The Samsung Focus Flash handset features a 3.7-inch Super AMOLED screen and a 1.4 GHz processor, a rear-mounted 5-megapixel camera and a front-facing VGA camera.
AT&T hasn't announced any timeframe for the release of the Samsung Focus S and Focus Flash, but these handsets are widely expected to become available some time before the end of this year in the US region.
Meanwhile reports are emerging that UK mobile phone carrier Orange will start selling the Mango-based HTC Radar handset at some point in the not too distant future. The HTC Radar features a 3.8-inch touchscreen, 1 GHz processor, 3.5mm jack, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, HD video recording, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPRS, GPS, EDGE, and Dolby Mobile Sound.
