According to revelation made by Annette Beautrais, a senior research scientist at Yale University, suicide still remains a matter of ignorance for the governments of various nations worldwide.
The commencement of suicide by people have not witness a fall in the past 10 years. Instead there has been a rise in the committing of suicides among people belonging to the age group of 24 to 65 years.
Ms. Beautrais raises her concern over the issue of suicide at a meeting held in Dublin. The meeting discussed the issue of providing support to suicide avoidance program, to relief the grief attached to the aspect. Ms. Beautrais revealed that men were 4 times more prone to commit suicide than men.
The reason behind the gender difference on the aspect of suicide is the male ego, which does not allow accessing to emotional and sentimental assistance. Men avoid accessing to consultation with GPs and psychologist for their mental stress and psychological troubles.
Men were a bit deprived from the fatherly care, they faced more of challenges in their life from the outer world than the women did, and men generally avoid being social, which gave way to the habit of concealing their problems. Also, maximum number of suicides is believed to have resulted from mental illness and depression.
