The answer to the question that could one harness the power of the force responsible for universe’s expansion called the dark energy, is no, till one exists in the complex cyber universe developed by the makers of the video games Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2.
Mass Effect 2 is expected to launch on January 26.
Incorporating the concept of dark energy into a video game is "not completely implausible," says astrophysicist Tamara Davis, a research fellow at the University of Queensland in Australia and an associate of the Dark Cosmology Centre in Denmark.
The Mass Effect games grants humans the ability to channel dark energy if they can survive in utero exposure to a substance known as "element zero," which is believed to result in nodules throughout their nervous systems of the person that enhance the body's natural electrical impulses.
However, dark energy used in the game has nothing to relate to the real dark energy
In accordance to Hudson, the dark energy concept poses as a promising component of the android video game because scientists are still studying about it. Adding to this, he asks, "What if we could understand how dark energy worked and manipulate it the way we've manipulated electromagnetism to create electronic devices like cell phones and computers?".
Hudson claims that he developed the game without referring to a scientists, however, he quotes that he and his staff soaked up the available research on dark energy.
