In a recent report, the World Health Organization raised concerns over the continuously increasing tuberculosis cases, especially in Europe where experts are likely to acknowledge more than 81,000 new cases, annually.
In addition, around 15 countries of Eastern Europe are observed to have maximum incidents of the communicable disease. Further, the WHO report revealed that not less than 3,500 new cases were acknowledged every year, particularly in London. On the other hand, figures reflected more than 9,000 annual cases of the tuberculosis across the regions of Western Europe. "In western Europe TB is widely perceived as a problem of the past, but the disease remains active, mainly in cities", stated the WHO report.
Simultaneously, a TB expert, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar, briefed about the disease that is still executing a number of people every year in developed as well as developing countries, inspite of a number of awareness campaigns and advanced medications.
