Thyroid glands are situated around our wind and food pipe, which emit essential hormones for our body.

For the study, the Australian researchers observed about 4,000 elders in the age group of 70. The participants involved those who never had any thyroid related illness. However, 5% out of the participants had depression.

During the study, it was found that the level of thyroid didn’t have any impact on depression. The research was conducted mainly over men; therefore, the implication of the study can’t be imposed upon women and children.

However, it has been found that the thyroid level can prop up the growth of the bones. It is believed that the findings of the researchers would pave the way for better treatment of osteoporosis and bone cancer.

It has been informed that Osteoporosis can cause bone damages. The findings of the study have been published in the PNAS journal of National Academy of Sciences. The findings of the study as to how much thyroid hormone can impact one’s body.
