Alzheimer’s Gives Way to Dementia, Claims Dr. Brietner

AlzheimerDr. John Brietner, Director of the Centre for Studies on Prevention of Alzheimer's disease at Canada's McGill University, states that the condition of Alzheimer's occurs in brain and has a life-long affect.

According to the doctor, around 1,000 people in Australia contract the disease in a week and the disease does not have a specific cure. Dr. Brietner is commencing a deep research on the disease and expects to come up with precautionary measures against the disease.

The disease takes the form of dementia that is a condition of short term memory in the later life of the victim. The disease generally victimizes the elderly people, needs to deal with as soon as possible due to increase in its contraction.

Asked about other diseases that lead to dementia, Dr. Brietner revealed that another cause is Parkinson's disease. The disease occurs due to cerebral hemorrhage or cerebral vascular disease.

A minor cognitive damage results in forgetfulness of a very lower level, which is said to be the grey zone. The case is different for the ones who are majorly affected by the occurrence of the disease. Complete dementia in a person makes it difficult for the person to commence daily routine.
